Miss Martha's Ice Cream Crankin' Contest

Every year, Purity Dairies helps the Martha O'Bryan Foundation raise money for disadvantaged families so that they may become self-sufficient. We create ice cream flavors and serve them at the Crankin'. Valerie Barton's Hawaiian Dream won in 2006.
To volunteer for be a cranker, contact Kevin or Danielle Laterza.

Miss Martha's Ice Cream Contest Heavenly Hawaiian Winner
The 2006 winner was Valerie Barton of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. The idea for her flavor came from a long-standing family tradition. Every time the family would get together and make ice cream, they would always be sure to add a secret ingredient: pineapple. Throw in a delicious mix of coconut, pineapple, and pecans and you have Heavenly Hawaiian, the perfect summer flavor. Since the flavor was a big hit at her home church, Priest Lake Presbyterian, Valerie brought some of her Heavenly Hawaiian along to the Ice Cream Crankin' Contest. After five years on the sidelines, with strong support from her church, it made its debut appearance in the contest and won first place.

Purity Dairies is proud to offer Valerie's creamy new flavor, Heavenly Hawaiian, among its new line of flavors, which includes Key Lime Pie, Happy Birthday Cake, and Banana Split. Look for Heavenly Hawaiian in your grocer's freezer.
